Connie Ferguson's daughter, Lesedi, is determined to show everyone that she has heaps of talent and isn't coat-tailing on her mom's success.
Lesedi has joined the cast of Rhythm City and is doing the things! No one can deny that this young lady has the ability to nail a role and entertain Mzansi.
She plays the role of 20-year-old American Davina Moore and fans already like what she's bringing to the show.
TimesLIVE reported that Lesedi feels her career is slowly making progress. She is very happy to have bagged a role on Rhythm City.
“This industry is not a basket of roses. Rhythm City is a big deal to me because of its platform and its reach to the South African audience, especially the youth.
"It also came at a time when I had taken a hiatus to focus on casting, so it reaffirmed to me that I’ve still got it.”
Briefly.co.za gathered that there were claims of nepotism but Lesedi has proven that she earned her role.
"Even though my families are linked, my craft still speaks for itself. I’m not in their shadow. I’m shining my own light and walking down the same path simultaneously.
"I’d like to think I’m adding to the lineage rather than being shadowed by it.”
She's got big plans and hopes to one day star in a Netflix series.
Earlier, the actress shared her inspiring weight-loss journey. Lesedi has been working out with Connie as well as a personal trainer, and doing the most to get that overdue baby weight off.
Lesedi is a proud momma to a beautiful boy, Ronewa, whom both Connie and Shona absolutely adore.
Taking to social media, a proud and boujee Lesedi showed off her new bod, explaining to her followers that those jeans hadn’t fitted her in over two years.
