Katlego Danke says goodbye to 'Isidingo' as it comes to an end

Local award-winning actress, Katlego Danke, is very sad that her time with popular TV show, Isidingo, is over.

The show has aired its final episode and fans will no longer be able to follow the lives of their favourite characters.

Katlego, who played the role of Kgothalo, took to social media to bid farewell to fans of the show.

"What a journey it’s been on this amazing show. I’ve grown as a person, as an artist and as a colleague. And for all of those lessons I’m truly grateful.
"This legendary show has come to an end but I strongly believe it will forever live in all of our hearts and souls for a very long time. It’s been over 20 years of captivating stories that we have had access to in our homes, so it’s special to every South African.
"A tearful farewell but it’s a job well done by an incredible team of people so we smile through the tears. Join us for the last episodes this week... It’s a wrap!"

Fans of Katlego can rejoice though - this isn't the last we will see of her. In fact, the actress will be on Mzansi screens in a new show, Gomora.

Briefly.co.za reported that when SABC confirmed that Isidingo would be airing its last episode in March, viewers were deeply upset.

South Africans are not happy about this at all and will miss the popular soapie - this comes after there were rumours going around that the show was cancelled due to lack of advertisers.
