- An 11-year-old boy is taking the game of pool by storm
- Due to his amazing ability, he recently won a pool competition and walked away with a brand new vehicle
- Hailing from an impoverished community, the prize is all the more special and he was recently lauded via social media
Taufeeq Murray may rightly be called a pool king of Mzansi, but due to his age, a pool prince seems more suitable.
At the tender age of 11, Taufeeq is dominating the world of pool playing and his talent is being handsomely rewarded.
The prodigy's talent was noticeable from an early age, but he recently shifted his focus to playing Chinese pool and has already made a huge impact.
As a result of his performance in a recent competition, Taufeeq was rewarded with a brand new vehicle.
His father Shadley Murray took to Facebook to share details of the wonderful achievement.
In a touching post, Shadley praised God for the blessings and thanked everyone that has played a role in Taufeeq's life.
It was heartwarming to note that Taufeeq's talent was praised, but that his humility and respect was recognised as well.
Hailing from the impoverished community within Mitchell's Plain on the notorious Cape flats, Taufeeq's achievements are all the more special.
Briefly.co.za noted the amazing response to the post, as many wished Taufeeq and his family well.
Lyle Murray said,
"Very proud of little Murray, too the parents as well."
Allan Marais paid tribute to Taufeeq and his parents:
"Congratulations to Toufeeq. I am super proud of your boy. Please protect his innocence and don't let anyone change him. I have to salute you for raising such a well mannered and respectable son. Sky is the limit."
Kyle Nell admired the new ride:
"Sunroof also nice taufeeq Murray."
