Former Mayor of Johannesburg Herman Mashaba has earned a reputation for focusing on the greater good and the benefit of the masses.

The former entrepreneur stepped down from the Democratic Alliance last last year and recently launched his own political movement, known as The People's Dialogue.

Mashaba revealed he doesn't have much faith in the current political system and has called for a complete overhaul.

One of the current flaws and challenges is the huge unemployment rate and a prime example took place via social media.

BOITUMELO MOLEFE (@Boity_girl) took to Twitter to reveal her plight - although she holds a degree in public governance and politics, she's remained unemployed for more than a year.

Mashaba responded to the request and called on the masses to assist Boitumelo.

He also offered the suggestion of applying to join his organisation once they've officially launched.
