South African heartthrob, Cedric Fourie, had taken time out to speak to the youth of Mzansi to advise them on career choices.

Fourie spoke to TshisaLIVE and said that being able to make the correct career choice is not that easy.

Briefly.co.za learnt that he went on to say that there is always a gamble with finding work that you love and work that is aligned with the person you are.

He said it is of utmost importance to find the career that is best aligned with who you are in order to be happy and allow it to become second nature in the same way it is second nature to breathe.

Making his name starring as Lehasa in Skeem Saam, Fourie says he is so blessed to have the opportunity to have found a career that he loves and fortunately is also aligned with who he is.

Fourie’s stardom with the character he so brilliant portrays is aligned with the person he is that it does not take much effort for him. He says that the mistake people make is that they tend to muddle up what they are good at and love, to what is actually better suited to who they are.

Fourie also added that his passion to advocate for conducive living conditions for the LGBTQI+ community is aided by him using his influence. He believes that assisting with this comes from his core values he lives by. There is no question or doubt.

Indicating just how he lives his life, Cedric took to Instagram to share a quote.

“The mind is a powerful source. It can enslave us or empower us. It can plunge us into the depths of misery or take us to the heights of ecstasy. Learn to use that power wisely.”
