It was a seven-year break that actress Brenda Ngxoli took. She made the decision to find her inner peace and in order to do that, she returned home in the Eastern Cape. But Ngxoli is back in the City of Gold and enjoying every minute.
The hustle and bustle of showbiz and the city of Johannesburg made Ngxoli return to Xolobe Village in Tsomo. It is here where she saw her days through as a herdswoman.
Briefly.co.za learnt that it was the opinion of many that Ngxoli was down and out. Speaking to Move magazine, the much-loved actress explained that having the break gave her the opportunity to examine her thoughts and feelings.
She had time for privacy and self-love which in turn got her to where she is today. She went on to say that she was put in the limelight from the tender age of 21 which was difficult for her. She soon discovered that been so young in the industry one tends to either grow up too fast or you find yourself living the lifestyle that is perceived as okay by others.

The fact that South Africa did not forget about her is something she really appreciates.
When Brenda spoke to DRUM last year, she said that all the rumours that did the rounds during her absence from the TV screens were all untrue.
Brenda the rumours were things like she left because she didn’t have money, she was angry with the industry, she had an alcohol or drug problem, all of which were so far from the truth. Her reason for leaving was purely her following her heart for her own physical and spiritual growth.
In an Instagram post in August, Brenda paid tribute to Connie and Shona Ferguson. This amazing couple believed in Brenda when it seemed the odds were stacked up against her. They offered her a part in a TV series, Rockville, which she grabbed with both hands.
