Reports recently surfaced regarding Bidvest Wits midfielder Thabang Monare.
Monare allegedly displayed some of the symptoms attributed to the coronavirus and many had since speculated on his health.
The midfield ace recently took to social media to dispel those rumours and gave himself a clean bill of health.
He said, "Guys I'm fine, I have never had coronavirus symptoms."
Daily Sun reported on Monare's annoyance with the rumours and he touched on how it could have an adverse impact.
Monare added, "So guys I do not have coronavirus. I'm fine."
Things were heating up in the Absa Premiership, but league matches have been suspended this week due to the pandemic.
Briefly.co.za reported that President Cyril Ramaphosa laid out South Africa's plans for tackling the coronavirus Covid-19.
Public gatherings and national celebration events have been limited or cancelled.
Ramaphosa's address also touched on travel bans and urged South Africans not to travel through any of the areas which are currently regarded as high risk, with immediate effect.
