- Youngsta CPT recently named Doc Shebeleza and Caracara as songs of the decade
- Doc Shebeleza is Cassper Nyovest's song and Caracara was released by K.O
- Some fans agreed, while other had their own faves
Youngsta CPT recently started a debate in the hip hop community when he named Cassper Nyovest's Doc Shebeleza and K.O's Caracara as songs of the decade.
Youngsta wrote on Twitter, "Doc Shebeleza and Caracara changed SA hip hop forever."
Some fans agreed, while others were sceptical and named their own faves.
One tweep simply posted a snippet from the Caracara video to show his support.
Other tweeps were not in agreement at all and named their fave songs of the last 10 years instead.
DJ Mjora wrote, "Skwatta Kamp's Umoya is by far the best song in the history of South African (hip hop) and Africa as a whole."
Another tweep asked, "Do you know Emtee's Roll Up?"
A fan defended Youngsta's stance by saying that some tweeps had misunderstood what he meant.
The fan wrote, 'Some of you don't read to understand, but to respond."
"He said those two songs changed the game forever. Before those two songs, SA hip hop was f**king dead."
Youngsta CPT has also definitely been doing his own bit to contribute to the growth of Mzansi hip hop culture.
He's been known to describe himself as a "reality rapper" as opposed to a "gangster rapper."
The star said he's love for people to carefully dissect his lyrics the same way they do for the likes of J Cole and Travis Scott.
