- The decision to film from home was taken as a social distancing measure and to meet the demand from the viewers
- The show focuses on the same topics, as usual, the first on talking heavily about the coronavirus
International comedian, Trevor Noah has embraced social distancing and taken his work home, literally. He has started a new show called 'The Daily Social Distancing Show' on Youtube.
Most of the programme is filmed in his home in New York where he is self-isolating. His team from 'The Daily Show' have taken their work home with them as well and are all doing their part from their homes.
Briefly.co.za discovered that Trevor explained that the entire team would be working remotely and that they did not know when they would see each other again in the studio.
“Coronavirus has changed everybody's lives. What we've decided is to try to make The Daily Show from homes, not just my home but everyone's home.
“The producers, the writers, the directors, graphic designers, we are all just going to chill at home and use the technology we have to make the show.”
It was due to the demand from the audience that the idea to continue with the show emerged.
The show would continue to focus on trending news and topics, including the latest from Donald Trump.
The first episode was all about the coronavirus and ways for people to stay safe, he included a warning not to go to the emergency room as it would only endanger those who are already there according to Times Live.
