Cyril Ramaphosa cancels press briefing and Mzansi isn't surprised

President Cyril Ramaphosa was due to address the nation on Sunday but at the last minute and announcement was made that he would not speak but would postpone the address to Monday. People on Twitter took to social media to express their feelings about Cyril not rocking up tonight.

There was a lot of speculation about what Ramaphosa would have said, with many South Africans on social media calling for South Africa to be placed in a lockdown.

In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that Telkom had made a statement that it would donate R15 million to help shore up South Africa's primary healthcare systems to fight Covid-19.

Sipho Maseko, Telkom Group Chief Executive revealed that the money would be used to help healthcare workers who are our frontline fighters against Covid-19, especially in the more vulnerable areas of South Africa.

“We believe it is up to each one of us to do what we can to flatten the curve and reduce the possible impact of this virus particularly for those who rely on the public health system,” said Maseko.
