7 South African celebs have their say on the 21-day lockdown

President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a national 21-day shutdown on March 26 and peeps are shook. Multiple Mzansi celebs have taken to social media to share their views.

The lockdown is necessary to control the spread of Covid-19, but it has definitely heightened a whole other level of panic.

Briefly.co.za saw how social media flooded with comments after the announcement was made, with a lot coming from our celebs.

One of the first to have their say was Cassper Nyovest. He is all for the lockdown and urges the people of Mzansi to take it seriously.

He then went on to air his views, stating that he believes the lockdown will curb the virus but it won’t stop it.

Media personality Sizwe Dhlomo was another who took to social media to emphasise the importance of the lockdown and abiding by the measures that have been put in place.

Model and activist Refilwe Modiselle shared some wise and encouraging words. She reminded the people that this will pass and that the matter is now in God’s hands.

DJ Black Coffee showed the people of Mzansi some love, showering blessings over us all.

Nadia Nakai lashed out at those who are panic buying and urged people to relax. Stocking up unnecessarily is only going to make the situation worse. She’s all ready for the 21 days and feels she’s already stocked up.

Boity jumped in on the panic buying drama, telling people it is totally unnecessary.

Lastly, Prince Kaybee showed strength to small businesses, feeding them positive words of encouragement. We will get through this and we will come out stronger!
