- A young woman took to Twitter to share news of her engagement
- She included photos of her ring, but South Africans were left in disbelief
- Based on the ring's size and appearance, it was dubbed the bezekela ring
A young lady shared her moment of bliss when she revealed that she recently became engaged.
Via Twitter, she included photos of the engaged ring and it immediately caught the eye.
The ring was massive in size, but sometimes one wonders whether this is a good or a bad thing.
The size and appearance became a huge talking point after the photos were shared via Twitter on Thursday.
Tweeps celebrated the moment with the young woman, but the majority of the comments related to the ring specifically.
For the most part, tweeps felt that it could be classed as a 'bezekela' ring and took it as a sign of longevity.
Twitter user @Nthabiseng_x) said,
"The bekezela ring. No divorce formed against me shall prosper ring. Honestly, this the only ring that matters."
N.J (@NJ53695789) added,
"With that ring, ur marriage will definitely last forever. Believe you me!"
That Zulu Guy (@Collinzzulu) simply said,
"That anti divorce ring."
Kgothatso (@Big__Daddy__Vic) added,
"You know the marriage is for a lifetime when the ring looks like this."
Another story involving an engagement ring caught the attention of Briefly.co.za.
On this occasion, a young woman touched on her ordeal when her bae tricked her into buying her own engagement ring.
He then took the piece of jewellery and pawned it to fix his car.
