When the going gets tough, the tough get going. With lockdown keeping people indoors and away from their usual past times, particularly on the weekend, some people have to find creative ways of doing their hobbies.

South Africans are really good at making people laugh when times are challenging and an innovative cyclist has shown that there is a silver lining, as long we look on the bright side of life.

Briefly.co.za caught wind of a video uploaded by @JnzBeats, a musician and photographer, shows him cycling through his house, and into the garden and back again. This is exactly the kind of thing we need to keep us laughing.

As usual, Mzansi had a lot to say about the video, mostly positive messages and thanks for the LOLs.

@_IndividuAlly_: "Mara Mzansi go mnate ban."
@mrs_nooks_1: "He’s even wearing the FULL GEAR."
@dandyqueerness: "We're still going to see people do the most yoh."
@Don_Breezykov: "The only thing missing in this video is the dog that is walked in the house. #BhekiCele"

In other news, Briefly.co.za reported on some citizens who are already acting irresponsibly.

The lockdown was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

It came into effect at midnight on Thursday and will run until 16 April.

In a video doing the rounds on social media, Johannesburg police came across some citizens who did not heed the call to stay at home.

They had been patrolling the streets in the CBD.
