The South African drama series, Isibaya, has just lost two actors, Menzi Ngubane and Nomzamo Mbatha a few weeks back.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, producers of the show acknowledged that Jessica Nkosi will also be taking a break from the show.

It’s not all doom and gloom with regards to Jessica exiting the show. Philly Kubheka, M-Net’s head of public relations and publicity for local entertainment channels disclosed travel plans Jessica is making.

Briefly.co.za learnt that she also said that Jessica’s planned travels were written into the story-line which indicates there is the possibility of her return.

Philly said that Jessica will be visiting Ghana and this vacation has been included in the script. She went on to say that this is not a first as many productions will include changes in the script to allow an actor to take a break.

In 2017 Jessica took a two month break to work in theatre. At the time of her life she said she felt it was something she wanted to do. The opportunity was there and she took it.

She told TshisaLIVE that the last time she was on stage was in her final year when she was studying drama and she missed it.

A photo was posted of her being carried on set on her return to the show.

In related news, we were first introduced to the starlet in 2013 when she bagged the role of Qondi on Isibaya.

Her character grew and she became a household name and bagged several acting and presenting gigs thereafter.

According to Sunday World, Jessica is currently filming her last scenes on the soapie. The actress said, "It is true that I’m leaving Isibaya. I’d like to explore the industry and expand on my craft a little further. It was time for me to leave."
