Maumela Mahuwa has done the most to further her career – she ain’t just an actress, she’s a singer and a preacher too.

In today’s times, it is so important to have multiple streams of income and to build on any skills that you have.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Maumela decided to put time into her first love, her music career.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Maumela explained how music was always her first love but that life doesn’t always work out how you want it to.

The Muvhango actress might have made her name as Susan on the TV screens of Mzansi, but that doesn’t mean it’s all she is.

Maumela’s love for music never died, it was simply put on hold. Music is Maumela’s way of expressing herself and connecting with others.

“All in all, I am still a musician and I am going to release more songs. It is just that with the other businesses that I have been into so far, it has taken away my attention completely from music,” she said.

Aside from acting and music, Maumela is also the co-founder of a film school called AACA. This is a project she is very proud of and one that has motivated her to study scriptwriting.

The film school has kept her very busy but not busy enough to stop preaching the Word of God. Being a preacher is one of Maumela’s greatest gifts and something she will never stop doing.

Maumela owns her own ministry, which she also preaches at.

“I also have a ministry, I am a preacher. I preach in different types of churches when I get invited to do so because I don't have a church of my own. I don't know if I should say 'Thank God I don't have a church', but in my opinion that deserves a 'Thank God'. This, because that takes a lot out of a person. But I'm preaching across SA and internationally as well.”

There is so much more to Maumela than her on-screen presence led us to believe. She is a total boss babe!
