Zakes Bantwini left the people of Mzansi screaming for more last night with his lit performance on the #LockdownHouseParty.

Channel O partnered up with Hunters to bring the people of Mzansi some groove time during this lockdown.

Briefly.co.za learnt that the much-anticipated #LockdownHouseParty had peeps turning up in their homes all over Mzansi.

The party only kicked off at midnight but was well worth the wait. With the likes of Zakes, DJ Tira, Dj Fresh and PH, it was all kinds of litty.

The idea came about after DJ Shimza and PH's Quarantine Online Party had Mzansi grooving last week. Keeping people happy indoors is what it is all about.

DStv head of PR and publicity Philly Kubheka said that they are continuously looking for ways to help ease people’s minds and keep them entertained during this lockdown.

While the line-up was lit, Zakes totally stole the show. The people couldn’t get enough and screamed for more once he was done. Social media was heaving with praise and standing ovations.

In other #LockdownHouseParty news, DJ Tira did not impress as well as Zakes did.

Yesterday, one of those artists was DJ Tira and South Africans were less than impressed with what he had to offer.

They felt that having Tira on after Zakes fire performance was a total mood killer. Unfortunetly Tira was just not able to bring the heat.

It’s a no from the people of Mzansi. Sori, baba!
