The coronavirus pandemic has been weighing down people around the world and one doctor decided to bring joy to social media users during these dark times.

Doctor Jason Campbell, who is known as The Tik Tok Doc, shared videos of himself dancing on the popular social media platform and he has gone viral.

In some of the clips, Dr Campbell is joined by his colleagues while in others he dances on his own. Regardless, the videos manage to bring smiles to thousands in a time when people need laughter and joy the most.

According to the New York Post, Dr Campbell works as a resident physician in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University (Ohsu) in America.

The 31-year-old doctor always has a positive outlook on life and has used his love for dance to spread joy.

Dr Campbell shares his videos on Twitter, Instagram and Tik Tok - on the latter some of his clips gathered millions of views.

One of his videos even got a shout-out from Janet Jackson. The famous singer retweeted the clip and called it "cute".

The videos get thousands of views and always manage to bring a smile to social media users during the dark times.

Social media users applauded Dr Campbell and his co-workers for finding the time to not only help save lives, but to bring joy to people across the world with his Tik Tok dance videos.

Physician Uzma Khan, who goes by the Twitter handle @uzmakhanmd, commented:

"This is the only thing that has made me smile today! Stay safe!"

Carolyn Fahm, @CarolynFahm, added:
