As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to hit many countries in the world, healthcare workers have done all they can to help curb the situation.

Beauty queen crowned Miss England 2019, Bhasha Mukherjee, has returned to the UK to continue with her profession as a doctor amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

According to CNN reports, Mukherjee has been on her world charity tour where she had set to focus on her humanitarian work up to August 2020.

The beauty took a career break as a junior doctor after competing in the Miss World pageant in December 2019.

She will return to work as a junior doctor after up to 14 days in self-isolation.

It is said that the 24-year-old was getting messages from former colleagues at her old hospital, the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, saying how hard the situation was for them.

To honour their cries, she contacted the hospital's management to express her willingness to return to work.

Speaking during the interview with CNN, Mukherjee disclosed it felt wrong to be wearing her Miss England crown when people all over the world were dying of Covid-19.

The lass revealed she just wanted to get back home and return back to work, saying she felt a sense of the degree she studied for indicating that the current situation was the best time to use it.

The talented model specialises in respiratory medicine and is ready to help England in this time of need.
