At the age of 56, former Jam Alley presenter, Vinolia ‘V-Mash’ Mashego, has passed away. Musician and actress began her career in the early 1990s. Celebrities and fans reminisced on Monday by remembering the legacy this amazing woman has left behind.
The family is still reeling with shock after hearing the news on Monday morning. Prelley Seale, Vinolia’s sister, confirmed her passing. She said that the family do not know what happened to her sister.
Briefly.co.za reported that the confirmation is that Mashego died in her sleep at her home in Mamelodi, north-east of Pretoria.
Vinolia is best known best for her role as Hilda Letlalo in Generations. She also hosted Jam Alley from 1994 to 2001. Vinolia’s bubbly personality coupled with her singing and dancing abilities formed a big part of South African’s childhood memories.
