The Mashego family is taking the death of Vinolia very hard. Ever since Prelley received the devastating call from her father to tell her that her sister had passed away, it has haunted her. They are all battling to sleep at night.
Vinolia had made contact with her family during the week but did not speak to any family member over the weekend. It was the neighbours who alerted the family when they had not seen Vinolia.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the police we called and it was then that they broke into Vinolia’s home to investigate. Vinolia’s lifeless body was found on her bed in her home in Mamelodi.
Paramedics declared her dead. The cause of death was natural causes. The very sad part is that Vinolia had died three days prior to her body being found.
Karabo Seale, Vinolia’s nephew, spoke to TshisaLIVE and stated that the family is absolutely heartbroken by the sad news. He said that no one can prepare themselves for news like that, even though the family is broken they are trying to stay strong.
He said that he will miss Vinolia’s bubbly personality and the person people saw on TV was the same person she was with them. At home she was always laughing and joking with loads of energy. Vinolia always thought of the children at home and made sure she would bring them a little something from Jam Alley.
Vinolia had decided to make a comeback into the entertainment industry and had recently starred the drama series Giyani: Land Of Blood. She also hosted Moja Love's Bheka Sikubambile.
The passion Vinolia showed for the love of acting and presenting was seen by her family.
Karabo said the son Vinolia has left behind, Oratile, is like a brother to him. He stated that they were raised in the same household, which makes them more than just cousins.
Karabo said that he will make sure Oratile is okay and that he wants to be there for him. If Karabo could speak to his aunt just one more time, he would tell her that he and all the family love her and that he will look out for her son.
