South Africans are finding different ways of keeping busy during the 21-day lockdown.

Some have taken to social media to share pranks and lighthearted videos, while others have spent time with their families.

Janine le John-witbooi took to the #ImStaying Facebook group to reveal her lockdown goal of identifying and helping someone in need.

The generous young woman vowed to do at least one good deed during the period and she eventually gravitated to an elderly woman in her street.

The 74-year-old woman has to support her 40-year-old mentally disabled daughter with the state pension she receives.

Janine identified the need and blessed the gogo with a wonderful food hamper.

Briefly.co.za surveyed the reactions to the post and gathered that Janine's generosity had a profound effect on her fellow South Africans.
