It is a time of mourning in the hip-hop world as well as in the family of 25-year-old talented model-turned-rapper, Chynna Rogers.
According to reports by the New York Times, the young lady died on Wednesday, 8 March.
The news was revealed by the rapper’s manager, John Miller, in an email. The cause of her death has not been determined.
In the last post shared by Chynna on her Instagram page, she shared a throwback video about needing music to die to.
In the clip, she said: “I think there’s too many soundtracks to our lives, I need music to die to.”

Chynna’s family has said that the 25-year-old was deeply loved and will be sorely missed, this was revealed by her manager, John Miller.
The crew Chynna performed and collaborated with, ASAP MOB, also acknowledged her death on Twitter as they wished passed their condolences.

Chynna started modelling at the age of 14 after she was discovered by a scout in New Jersey. At the age of 15, she started up a conversation with rapper ASAP Yams where she asked to be his intern.
Later on, she started to perform and release singles with ASAP Mob.
