Briefly.co.za earlier shared an image of a woman who made a full recovery after testing positive for the coronavirus.
In the photo, she held up a message saying: "God wins, I defeated Covid-19."
The uplifting post went viral and attracted hundreds of responses, but not all of them were positive.

While many agreed with the woman's sentiments and gave the glory to God, others took exception to it.
Many South Africans felt that the healthcare workers should be credited instead.

Ncedakele David felt healthcare workers deserved praise as well:
"I thank the Dr's and Nurses did Great work on you Mrs during bad time of illness. God did give them energy of taking care of you and the others."
Ronald Smith agreed with her sentiments:
"She's right coz God bless those who believe nd praise Him, some says doctors nd nurses did their work but the truth is that God uses them to do his marvellous work."
Sphe Sane Xulu added,
"Thank God 4 even creating those nurses and doctors."
Palesa Tolo responded,
"And doctors and nurses can they also be thanked please."
