- Muvhango actor Hangwani Ramakuwela has come a long way
- This week, the star took the Twitter streets back to his humble beginnings
- Hangwani posted pictures comparing his start in life to where he is now
Muvhango's Hangwani Ramakuwela took fans back to his humble beginnings this week.
The star posted a picture of himself during his school days, alongside one of him as he is now.
Hangwani's family couldn't afford a proper school uniform or school books when he was growing up.
He normally carried his school bags in a plastic packet.
Hangwani also didn't have an adequate school uniform, and just wore any smart-looking attire he could find in the closet.
That skinny, poor boy is a far cry from the buff, well-dressed man Hangwani is today.
The star is happy for the strides he's made and fans rejoiced along with him.
Thami Mayisane said he was also in the same situation when he was in school. He wrote:
"Lol, I used Shoprite plastics in primary and high school. But at least we were many using plastics. We didn't care about those few laughing at us."
One fan responded:
"Black child, look at you now."
"Inde lendlela esiyihambayo (This is a long road we're walking)."
Another star who's known to be very open about his own humble beginnings is none other than Cassper Nyovest.
The Mahikeng native, who owns R6 million worth of cars, a massive home in the Johannesburg northern suburbs and is known for his splurging, is a real inspirational rags- to-riches story.
