- Reaching out to help those who are unable to buy electricity credits, Boity was unable to help everyone, so she turned to her followers
- The response she got was truly heart-warming and booty couldn't be more grateful for the selflessness of her fans
Boity Thulo’s heart has been warmed by the spirit of Ubuntu. The way our country has pulled together in this time of need is truly something special.
The coronavirus may have locked us all down and filled many with doubt and fear, but it has not defeated us, because love and humility have triumphed.
Briefly.co.za saw how amazed Boity is at the generosity of the people of Mzansi – it is not only people who are fortunate that are giving, even people who do not have much to spare are helping where they can.
Many celebs and wealthy business people have been making large donations, but it really is the donations made by those who have little that are truly heartwarming.
Boity reached out to help people who have run out of electricity credits due to lack of funds during the lockdown. She was only able to help 10 families but asked her followers to see what they could do.
Going through the comments, Boity was blown away by the generosity of her fans. Tons of people have selflessly come forward and offered to help those she was unable to.
Boity took to social media to express her deepest gratitude for those who have helped so willingly.
Another helpful Mzansi celeb is Lasizwe Dambuza. The popular comedian is known for his comedic skits and unique sense of humour. However, the funny man displayed his compassionate side via Twitter earlier on Friday.
Perhaps inspired by the spirit of Good Friday, Lasizwe offered money to a fellow tweep. This was in response to the young man sharing a desperate tweet, which revealed his dire situation.
The local celeb then took it as his cue and made the generous offering to enable the man to purchase groceries. Within a couple of hours, the tweet has already gone viral, with many heaping praise on the local celeb.
