1. Zuma's wifey turns 48: Inside Tobeka's lockdown birthday celebrations
Tobeka Madiba Zuma turned 48 recently and she's rocking it. The stunning former first lady took Instagram to pen a message on her birthday.
She gushed about celebrating another year of life and the people who she can call her family and friends. Her post read:
"Let me express my profound and unbridled gratitude to family and friends, for making my day super special. Words alone fail me. If the number 48 was a person."
2. Man proudly shows off the 1-bedroom house he built, inspires Mzansi
Many people dream of building or owning their own homes, but not everyone get the opportunity. One man, Trevor Menlyn Sidogi, wanted to upgrade his living conditions.
Although he doesn't have the capital to build a big house yet, Trevor did not let it stop him from building a cozy one-bedroom home.
Taking to Twitter, Trevor showed off his new crib. He captioned the post: "In life, appreciate even the little things. Finally, I'm the one-room house owner."
3. Trevor Noah goes viral, but 97-year-old dancing madala steals the show
South African funny man Trevor Noah shared a lovely video that seems to have blown up since Wednesday.
Briefly.co.za gathered that the video has already been viewed nearly 400 000 times within a day of being shared.
The footage features a 97-year-old madala who reveals some adorable dance moves. With a Justin Timberlake track playing in the background, the senior citizen showcases his rhythm and seemingly includes a Madiba shuffle as well.
4. Black Coffee offers gig to DJ at the centre of Shimza's drama
DJ Black Coffee has come through for a struggling Mzansi DJ in a big way after he got snubbed by Shimza.
The DJ had been attempting to join one of Shimza's lockdown virtual sessions and evidently he thought it was a waste of time.
The harsh response resulted in social media dragging Shimza, but the outcome wasn't all negative. Black Coffee had been touched by the situation and reached out to offer the DJ a spot on the streaming lineup of his own show, Africa is Not A Jungle.
5. Letoya Makhene unapologetically reveals she’s in love with a woman
All of us dream of finding true love. Former Generations The Legacy Actress Letoya Makhene had social media buzzing with pictures of her getting close with another woman.
Letoya played the character Tshidi on the popular Soap opera and has been a fan favourite for many years.
Briefly.co.za learnt that pictures depicted the two ladies to be in love. The couple were kissing and holding hands which raise the question of Letoya’s sexuality.
