- Heavy-K decided to drop a big one on Easter Sunday - he's changing his stage name to ‘Khusta’
- This came as a major shock and with zero explanation, fans couldn't help but think that he's dropped the 'Heavy' part as a result of his weight loss
- Others got a tad more serious, wondering whether Heavy ever owned his stage name and if there may be some legal reason behind all this
Heavy-K dropped a big one on fans last Sunday – our guy has decided to change his stage name, just like that.
While changing stage names is nothing the people of Mzansi are not used to, no one expected it from Heavy-K.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the Drum Boss is changing his name to ‘Khusta’. Just like everyone else, we are a tad confused.
When DJ Euphonik changed his stage name to DJ Themba, it didn’t come as such a shock as his music style and entire persona had changed too.
Heavy-K took to social media fresh on Sunday morning, revealing his new stage name.
All he said is that it’s changing and that’s that. No explanation, nothing, just somma!
Leaving fans with a major cliff-hanger, they went with a comical assumption, asking Heavy-K if he’s decided to drop the 'Heavy' part because he’s lost weight or something… Gaaaahaha, what an absolute cracker!
Others couldn’t help but assume that maybe Heavy-K did not own his stage name and had to drop it for some legal reason. When you give no explanation, you'd better expect that the worst would be assumed. The fact that he still hasn't changed it on social media has some feeling it might just be a hoax.
