So many times people are warned to be 'safe' online - because you never know what's real and what not.

In fact, so many people have been duped online that there's even a popular TV show about it called Catfish.

However, while some were scammed by pretenders online, one lady found the love of her life after he slid into her DMs.

In 2018, Sofia and Erick started chatting online and their relationship has flourished into something truly beautiful.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, the stunning woman shared screenshot of the day she and Erick started taking as well as photos of their engagement, her pregnancy and their adorable little family now.

She captioned the post:

"From DM to getting engaged to starting a family together. I love you."

Although it rarely happens, it's not the first time someone found their happily ever after online. Briefly.co.za previously reported on another lady who met her husband on social media.

The woman, who was only identified by her Twitter name MooseManzini, shared her inbox-to-relationship success story. She took to social media to post a picture with her husband.
