Gospel singer Hlengiwe Mhlaba has revealed that her hit song Sewakhile reminds her of late TV personality, Akhumzi Jezile.
The award-winning singer also revealed that she treated Akhumzi as her son.
She said this during a live Instagram interview on Wednesday with Durban-based socialite Tha Simelane.
The socialite, who is also an actor, hosted a question-and-answer session with the award-winning muso about her upbringing and her illustrious music career, reports ZAlebs.
Hlengiwe opened up about her close relationship with Akhumzi.

ZAlebs reports that on the live chat, may of Hlengiwe's fans kept asking her to sing her smash single titled Sewakhile. She replied that the song is very close to her heart and makes her very emotional.
The gospel star said it reminded her of Akhumzi because he also loved it. The song has reportedly healed scores of people who are going through rough patches in their lives.

Briefly.co.za reported that Akhumzi passed away in a car crash outside Queenstown in the Eastern Cape.
He began his career in TV as a presenter of YoTV and grew as an actor and South Africa soon fell in love with the charming young man.
His role as Ngulube on Tempy Pushas cemented his place in the acting world in Mzansi and blew his fans away with his stellar performance.
