South Africans have proven that they love a challenge and they often start trending via social media.

The challenge involves tweeps sharing selfies to compare their pre-lockdown to post-lockdown appearances.

The challenge had some interesting results. While some hardly experienced any noticeable changes, others were clearly affected bu the isolation.

However, some tweeps remained as good-looking as ever.
Some of the ladies boasted new hairstyles and it made for a stark contrast.

3. Hair today, gone tomorrow
Then there were some who lost the hair altogether.
4. DJ Khaled
A social media influencer even included renowned music producer DJ Khaled.
The caption said it all:
"The winner of #lockdownselfiesbeforeandafter is Dj Khaled who went from "we the best" to we depressed."
Sadly, fears were also realised, as many of the women admitted to gaining weight during the period.
6. To shave or not to shave
Not to be outdone, a few of Mzansi's gents joined in the challenge as well.
