Lockdown: Good Samaritan gives food and shelter to homeless couple

The nationwide lockdown has exerted pressure on South African households in more ways than one.

Many have had their options limited in terms of sourcing an income or food to eat.

The homeless have also been severely impact and a couple were destitute without shelter or food.

Fortunately, a kind young woman by the name of ‎Bianca Tasha Wiblin enlisted the help of well-known philanthropist Bi Phakathi.

Phakathi sent sufficient funds for Bianca to purchase some groceries for the couple in need. Briefly.co.za also learnt that he arranged accommodation for them as well.

Zwelani Lukhozi sparked some controversy:

"This is very kind of you both. May God bless you beyond measure. I just honestly hope this was not for likes or recognition, "When we help the poor, we should leave our cameras at home".. Unless you're willing to remain anonymous and record such incidents simply to inspire others."

David Schuster said,

"Phakati is a legend..literally. And so are you guys."

Cuthbert Hlabangana Hlabangana added,

"God will bless him more for looking after empty stomach."

Oluwakemi Bukola Bamidele said,

"The Lord will never leave you to yourself.. Amen."

Previously, Briefly.co.za reported that Phakathi paid a visit to an area frequented by some homeless people living under a bridge.
