Cassper Nyovest's manager Tlee Moiloa gave fans some inside info on Cass that they never quiet registered before.

There is no denying that Cassper is one of Mzansi’s hottest artists who has hustled hard to egt to where he is today.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Cassper’s manager shared the story that led to Cassper going independent – there’s always that one defining moment that changes everything.

On Saturday afternoon Moiloa shared the story, explaining how it took one eye-opening meeting with a label to turn Cass independent.

Moiloa explained how Sony had told Cass to drop Nyovest or they wouldn’t work with him. Apparently Nyovest would raise red flags and take children out of Cass’ fan base under parental control.

Believing in himself and his brand, Cass refused. Every single person in Mzansi knew him as Cassper Nyovest and that never stopped them from listening to him, including the youth.

It was at that moment that Cass decided to go independent and he’s never looked back!

In other news, Nasty C let Cassper Nyovest know that he ain’t the be-all and end-all of Mzansi hip-hop.

One thing that Nasty C hardly ever does is get involved in or start beef, he’s normally a total sweetheart.

Emtee and Nasty C went head-to-head with their hits hosted by SA Hip Hop’s top producers, Tweezy and Gemini Major, on Thursday – it was then that Nasty C told Cass off.

Cassper decided to jump in on the Nasty C glory debate and went in hard. Putting himself on a pedestal, Cass decided to make out like he could end Nasty C if he wanted to.

It was then that Nasty C fearlessly challenged Cass to a battle.
