A picture of a man with a striking resemblance to late TV star Akhumzi Jezile has left South Africans amused since it emerged on social media at the weekend.

Akhumzi passed away in a car accident outside Queenstown in the Eastern Cape in April 2018.

A picture of his look-alike has been trending on social media since it was taken during a live crossing on Mzansi's news channel, eNCA.

Mzansi peeps were convinced that the TV presenter had come back from the dead.

Some of the gobsmacked people blamed their eyes for deceiving them.

Briefly.co.za has reported that gospel singer Hlengiwe Mhlaba has revealed that her hit song Sewakhile reminds her of Akhumzi.

The award-winning singer also revealed that she treated Akhumzi as her son. She said this during a live Instagram interview last Wednesday with Durban-based socialite Tha Simelane.

The socialite, who is also an actor, hosted a question-and-answer session with Hlengiwe about her upbringing and her illustrious music career.
