Prince Kaybee’s lit track Uwrongo has reached a whopping 2.7 million streams.
The lockdown is definitely having a positive effect on music in terms of getting the creative juices flowing and allowing people more time to appreciate local artists.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Kaybee’s track has almost reached three million streams and he couldn’t be more grateful for the endless support.
Uwrongo dropped just two months back and was a hit from day one. The vibey track is a Mzansi fav.
Having Prince Kaybee as the producer and Ami Faku, Shimza and Black Motion as feature artists, nothing but pure excellence was expected.
The music video is currently sitting at 1.3 million views on YouTube and both the track and music video numbers continue to climb by the minute.
In the spirit of the amazing news, Prince Kaybee announced that his newest track would drop in June, a little birthday present to his fans.
In other news, online streaming service Deezer released their 2019 most-streamed list in the spirit of International Women’s Day and our very own Ami Faku took the number one spot for most-streamed SA female artist.
Ami comes from the Eastern Cape and is one of Mzansi’s most angelic voices of modern Afro-soul.
Taking the number one Deezer 2019 most-streamed spot just shows how incredible her debut album, IMALI, is.
The incredible news came out just in time as Ami was about to launch her Sincerely Yours project where she performed her debut album IMALI with a full band, live.
