Actor Yonda Thomas makes debut on soapie The River, fans loving it

Actor Yonda Thomas is back on Mzansi TV screens and his fans are loving it. He made his debut on telenovela The River this week.

Thomas took to social media to reveal that it has always been his dream to be part of the show's cast.

"Now I knew I wanted to be part of the show for a while but I didn't really know how much I wanted to be there until my first day there."

He says he has been on a 10-year journey in the industry, "but I am grateful that it has led me here (The River)":

"I saw people I had worked with when I was starting out in the industry on my very first TV role. Seeing them there gave me that 'coming full circle feeling', that 'you're in good hands' kinda feeling."

The star has been trending on social media ever since he appeared on the show.

His fans have been congratulating him on his new gig. Briefly.co.za gathered that Thomas plays the character of Morapedi, a new mining manager at Khanyisa Diamonds.

Thomas will also be playing the character of Max in a new movie titled Seriously Single that is expected to hit cinemas on 1 May, that's if the current lockdown is not extended.
