- Julius Malema has vowed to double social grants in his lifetime
- The EFF leader made the promise on Twitter with an entertaining video
- The clip shows a builder dancing on a scaffold while building
Julius Malema is not happy with the amount of money grant recipients are receiving from the government. The EFF leader took to Twitter to share an entertaining video of a builder dancing and he captioned the clip with a promise.
"We will double social grants in our lifetime."
It's not the first time the EFF leader promised to double social grants in South Africa. Briefly.co.za previously reported that Malema called for an increase in social grants from the elderly and children:
“If you love yourself as a black person, you will not negotiate for substandard housing. RDPs are not houses, they are glorified shacks. They are dilapidated, have cracks and are falling. We want to double the social grants of the elderly and the social grants of children. And we must also fix our education system.”
Take a look at the video below:
The video gathered over 103 000 views and South Africans flooded the comment section with their views on Juju promising double social grants.
Earlier, we reported Ntsiki Mazwai had her reservations about the R350 relief grant and she questioned whether President Cyril Ramaphosa could survive on the small amount.
The outspoken poet then said R1 000 per person would have been sufficient during these difficult times.
