Mzansi praises Cyril Ramaphosa: 'He said Thuma Mina, here he is now'

President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to address the nation again tonight but he has thus far handled the coronavirus outbreak with grace and wisdom.

The head of state has proved on several occasions that saving the lives of South African citizens is more important than making money.

While there are those who aren't fans of the president, many have have applauded Ramaphosa for making tough decisions to ensure the well-being of South Africans, even if it costs the government billions of rands.

On Wednesday, honoured the head of state on our Facebook page. Our message read:

"Dear President Cyril Ramaphosa, the world might say that we are a third world country, but you sir are a first-class leader. You are leading us through this pandemic with courage and bravery, putting your people first. We salute you! We are very proud to be South African."

We were met with an amazing response and our readers saluted the president for his dedication to keeping South Africans safe during these difficult times.

"He did the best this guy, if it was someone else the country was going to be in chaos as we speak. Protests and high Covid-19 deaths but he managed to calm the storm by addressing almost everyone's needs during lockdown."

The high praises for the president came after he announced a R500 billion economic and social relief fund to help the county get through the lockdown and Covid-19 pandemic.

The president is set to address the nation again on Thursday evening.
