- Hit show Gomora is getting pulled off Mzansi screens after airing for less than a month
- The telenovela will flight its last episode on Friday night
- Mzansi Magic said this is due to the nationawide lockdown
New telenovela Gomora has become an instant hit since airing its first episode on 30 March.
It has been receiving raving reviews from social media users who fell in love at first sight with it.
Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161, has revealed some bad news for the viewers of the hit show. It is being pulled of air.
The channel took to social media to announce the bad news.
"We're committed to bringing you the best in local entertainment. Which is why from Monday 27 April, customers will enjoy a double dose of award-winning drama series The River, as hit telenovelas Gomora and Isibaya flight last episodes on 24 April due to the nationwide lockdown."
Briefly.co.za has reported that Uzalo, Isibaya and The River have confirmed that they are running out of episodes to air.
Since the announcement by Mzansi Magic, Mzansi peeps have flooded social media to demand a "pay holiday" from DStv.
@Sthembiso Mkhize commented:
"I still believe @DStv should also give us a pay holiday in our subscriptions. How can we continue to pay for half service during these difficult times?"
"Yes we need a payment holiday considering you will be cutting content."
"Gomora e fihla fela is already going on a break, I thought they might have enough episodes to last until mid-June at least."
"I think it was meant to be an episode a week but plan changed and now they can't maintain that during this lockdown."

Briefly.co.za also reported how Gomora fans are living for the character Zodwa, who is Teddy's mother. She became a fan fav and viewers just couldn't get enough of her.
