Nomzamo Mbatha is a fave Mzansi actress who is currently waving the SA flag high in the States.

The actress moved to the USA about a year ago and has already made some impressive strides in making a name for herself over there.

Being in a whole other country comes with a whole lot of new experiences though - some that one might not even recognise for what they are.

For example, the recent earthquake that Nomzamo got caught up in in Los Angeles.

A US news website reported on the 3.8-magnitude quake and Nomzamo commented that she didn't even realise she was in it.

The star explained, "Was actually walking from the hallway to the bathroom and I felt a tremble. But then, I quickly dismissed it and thought 'Damn girl, why you walk so heavy?'. Kanti (Actually)..."

The stunner completed her comment with a host of sweaty nervous-faced emojis, showing she couldn't believe she'd actually been through an earthquake.

Despite these new experiences and challenges, the actress is making the most of her time in the States.

Last year, Briefly.co.za reported that Nomzamo features in this year's highly anticipated Eddie Murphy movie, Coming 2 America.

To show that Nomzamo has really kissed Mzansi goodbye for now, Isibaya killed off her character Thandeka two months ago.
