- He became the hospital's first patient to recover from the coronavirus
The coronavirus has put the world under lockdown and the fatalities have instilled fear in the hearts of many.
However, South Africans have been given hope by the recovery of a Port Elizabeth Covid-19 patient.
On Thursday, Facebook group We Are South Africans shared a video showing the moment the St George's Hospital in PE discharged its first coronavirus patient.
The clip gathered over 34 000 views in less than a day and South Africans were hopeful that it means we can beat this virus.

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za reported earlier this week that Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize confirmed 165 new people have managed to recover from their encounter with the virus, bringing the number of recoveries up to 1 055.
