South African celebrities have been doing their bit to help the needy families during this time of need.

The current lockdown that's due to the Covid-19 pandemic has left many citizens without food and some of Mzansi's favourite celebs have opened their wallets to help their fellow South Africans.

Rapper Khuli Chana and his bae, DJ Lamiez Holworthy have joined the list of stars who have done their bit for families affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

They have donated food parcels to needy families.

Lamiez, who is also a TV presenter, posted pictures of the couple seated at the back of a bakkie full of food parcels.

She captioned the post:

"Lamiez Holworthy Foundation and the Khuli Chana Foundation doing our bit for families affected by Covid-19 and who are unable to provide for their families during this lockdown period."

Their fans praised the couple for their good deed.

Briefly.co.za has reported that Siya Kolisi and his wife Rachel are also playing their part in making sure that South Africa's most needy people are taken care of during this difficult time.

The captain of the Springboks and his wife recently launched the "each one, feed one" campaign which donates food to the needy.

The Kolisi Foundation has partnered with the Imbumba and Nelson Mandela foundations to make sure that the campaign is a success.
