- Emtee has had to face the music in regards to his sudden amapiano switch
- Amapiano is currently the hottest sound in Mzansi and every artist is trying to stick their finger in this honey pot, including Emtee
- Getting shade for dropping hip-hop for amapiano, Emtee found it a bit of a cheek as Cassper Nyovest has done same
Emtee has had to face the wrath of Twitter in regards to his sudden amapiano switch - stick to your genre, bhuti.
It seems that a lot of musicians chop and change their feels to suit what is hot and happening, and fans are not a fan of this move.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Emtee got torn apart on social media for taking advantage of the thriving groove that is amapiano.
Amapiano is currently the hottest sound in Mzansi and every artist is trying to stick their finger in this honey pot.
Emtee saw an amapiano opportunity and took it, and now he’s having to face the music. A social media user called him out for ditching hip-hop to capitalise on amapiano, and he didn’t like it at all.
Firing back hard, Emtee made it known that other hip-hop artists like Cassper Nyovest also did it, and finds it a tad annoying that he’s the only one being shaded.
“Why don't you tweet tsibip and tell him that? I'm a trapper. Nimsaba ngam,” he wrote.
In other news, Cassper Nyovest has teamed up with Nigerian musos Burna Boy and Wizkid to bring fans a whole new song.
Nadia Nakai, a fellow rapper and close friend of Cassper's, shared a short teaser of the track and it's getting a lot of attention.
The song is unreleased and it's not clear when it will be dropped, but fans are happy to see the three artists working together.
The collab is quite the surprise because Cassper hadn't let on that he was working on something with Burna Boy and Wizkid.
