Loyiso MacDonald has scooped a South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA), making his former colleagues proud.

He managed to scoop the Golden Horn as the Best Supporting Actor in a Telenova in South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA). Wishes of his former colleagues at The Queen, Dineo Langa, Motsoaledi Setumo and Rami Chuene's were fulfilled when this charming actor walked away with the award as they have been supporting him since the nominees were announced. The actresses celebrated his victory.

Just before the announcement of these wonderful news, Dineo Langa, an actress, wrote on Twitter: "Family Ties! We are ready for our Loy to take it home."

Having to compete against great actors in the TV industry like Aubrey Polo and Lawrance Maleka did not affect his confidence and he ended up walking away with the Golden Horn award.
