DJs Tira and Maphorisa are two of mzansi's finest DJs the country has got to offer currently.

They both represent two genres, Gqom and Amapiano, which have been on high rotation in Mzansi in the past few months.

The two legends went hit-for-hit in a heated online DJ battle on Wednesday night. Tira played some old school tunes while Phori belted out new tunes during the epic battle.

Phori even dropped an exclusive track - featuring Burnaboy, Wizkid, Cassper Nyovest and Kabza De Small - during his set.

The humdinger, hosted by DJ Zinhle, was the latest instalment of the Castle Lite Unlocks In Bed With series aimed at raising funds for the government's Covid-19 relief efforts.

Mzansi is still not sure who won the battle. Peeps have been divided over the two's mixing styles and track selection since the battle last night.

The DJs' fans have weighed in on the battle and have shared their views on social media.

"Classics, Tira won. New School, Porry won. But otherwise, music won. The battle was great."

Mzansi hip-hop DJ Juniour de Rocka commented:

"Watching #CastleLiteUnlocks and I just remembered what an amazing music catalogue we have as a country S/O to @DJTira and @DjMaphorisa. That was mad inspiring."
