On this Throwback Thursday, Briefly.co.za looks at some of former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa's best moments.

Meyiwa became known for his acrobatic saves and many rated him as the best shot-stopper in the country.

Briefly.co.za gathered that many Bucs supporters still feel the club is yet to fill the void after his passing.

During the 2011/ 2012 season, Orlando Pirates nominated Meyiwa's acrobatic dive for save of the season.

In the match against Bloemfontein Celtic, Meyiwa was caught off his line and nearly beaten by what would have been a spectacular long-range strike.

However, the Bucs goalkeeper displayed tremendous agility, sprinted back and pulled off an unbelievable save.

During the same season, Meyiwa nearly outdid himself in the match against Jomo Cosmos.

With the score at 1-1, Cosmos were awarded a free kick just outside of the box.

The ensuing free kick was en-route to the top corner until a flying Meyiwa defied gravity and saved the day.

In 2013, Pirates featured in the CAF continental tournament and came up against the formidable TP Mazembe.

Meyiwa achieved cult status after saving two penalties, which inspired his team to progress to the next round.

In a previous throwback post, Briefly.co.za reported that former Orlando Pirates defender Siyabonga Sangweni hung up his boots in 2016.

Sangweni became a legend at the Bucs, but first made a name for himself at Golden Arrows.
