'The River' wins big at the SAFTAs as Somizi's show grabs 1 too

- Popular Mzansi Magic drama The River scooped 10 different awards at the recent South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs)

- The awards won The River included Best Actress - Telenovola and Best Supporting Actress - Telenovela

- The awards were held online and hosted by none other than Dineo Ranaka

The River was the night's big winner during the recently held SAFTAs.

The prestigious awards were held online and hosted by the vivacious Dineo Ranaka.

Mzansi Magic's The River walked away with 10 awards including Sindi Dlathu getting Best Actress - Telenovela and Mary-Anne Barlow winning Best Supporting Actress - Telenovela.

Somizi Mhlongo's reality TV show, Living The Dream With Somizi, won best docu-reality show.
