Natasha Thahane didn't get quite the response she was hoping for when she posted a snap of herself on the set of Blood And Water.

Natasha and her co-star were in school uniforms as they play teenagers in the upcoming Netflix suspense drama.

Some peeps felt the ladies were too old to have been cast in the roles of school-going teens.

One tweep said, "We're not going to watch grown women act as teenagers, knowing very well actual teens may have auditioned for these roles. No thanks."

When another disgruntled tweep rudely tweeted, "Umdala (You're old), my sister," Natasha responded with a cute yet cheeky funny face meme.

Today, Briefly.co.za reported that veteran actress Rami Chuene had defended the choice of older actors to play teens in the series.

Natasha was super-excited to announce her role in the new series, which will also be starring Cindy Mahlangu and Gail Mabalane.

The gorgeous, talented and educated star has a lot to celebrate this year as she's also bagged herself a lucrative endorsement deal with international skincare range Garnier.
