Mzansi woke up to some disturbing news, a Twitter post alleged that Trevor Noah was from Botswana. However, South African tweeps were quick to set the record straight not foiled the attempt to steal Trevor from SA.
Briefly.co.za learned that South African social media users were quick to reply and question the original post.
@khrismento considers that Botswana is simply an extension of South Africa.
Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Trevor Noah is our South African international comedian. Staying safe, Trevor is keeping a safe distance from his crew and at the same time doing right by them.
The Daily Show is Trevor's baby. It is the thing that put him on the global map and made him one of the world's most well-known comedians.
A source told Variety that Trevor is personally paying salaries of furloughed crew members of The Daily Show during the industry-wide production shutdown. The 25 crew members will have a salary during lockdown due to Covid-10 pandemic until production business opens again.
Variety was also told that the crew have been working on the show with Trevor from day one and were also responsible for helping put the show together. The source went on to say that it was Trevor’s decision to personally see to it that salaries were paid and would do so until production business re-opens.
