Lerato Mvelase recently did a lengthy Instagram post where she explained that by calling herself an "unproblematic baby mama," she wasn't dissing any other single mother out there.

Lerato had previously caused a stir when she shared a post on her Instagram saying that not all baby mamas have drama - she said some of them have degrees, good jobs, work hard, never complain and simply get on with raising their kids.

In the latest Instagram post, the actress made sure to re-iterate that she celebrates all single mothers, regardless of their financial situation.

She said, "The whole idea is for us single moms to celebrate ourselves because we are doing an amazing job . Some thought (I meant) if you don't have a degree, if you don't work and if you complain, (then) you are not a good mom."

Lerato's fans appreciated her candour and opened up about their own situations.

Check out a few of their comments below:

"For a long while I was so mad at why the universe didn't straight out spell (it out) to me that I would be a single mom. I checked out after the 'ah ha' moment that good or bad - we still get given the same 24 (hours in a day). I've had no role models of single parents. I chose to walk away (from my relationship), no expectations, no co-parenting rules - I'm just winging it now. The struggle is so real but I've made my bed and I'm lying in it. God help me in getting this right..."

"Oh nana , you said a mouthful. We are cool with baby daddy, we don't fight and we talk when we have to. We are just not agreeing with the Maintenance issue. I had to go to court. I had to take all the abuse from other women and men saying I am bitter and all. My only response was 'It's for my daughter and has nothing to do with me.' I hope people listen to this video and understand all aspects of being a single mom."

"Yes Louder!!!! There Are Bad Moms!!! And I always say that some guys are lucky to have baby mamas who as just going on about their own business!!! Ba busy and that’s a truth! And another truth is Ladies.... We Have to do some things for ourselves at the end of the day yazzz... Woman Go fetch your life honey... Yes things didn’t work out (but) you need to move on and fetch your life.. 1. For You 2. For your Child and 3. to show the sucker (lack of a better word) what he’s missing out on and 4. to show you future man that You’re IT! YOU’RE Worth Love and Attention! But most of All DO IT FOR YOU! Otherwise you will be a grumpy baby Mama! Besides if the Father is Absent and irresponsible GOD IS NOT!!! “HE IS THE FATHER TO THE FATHERLESS” He will Take care of that Child!!!!!! ASK ME, I’LL TELL YOU!!! I'VE GOT TIME TO TELL YOU!!!!

"Oh Lerato, I'm single mother of 4 beautiful girls, divorced but I don't like to mention that part. Their father maintains whatever amount of money he wants, which all the time it's not enough. My family and friends have advised me to take him to court but I don't want the stress that comes with that. I'm OK. The important thing to me is him being there for the girls but hey akazi (he doesn't come). Even when I offer to drop them off for few hours akazi (he doesn't come). I just don't no what to tell them anymore."

Last year, Briefly.co.za reported that Lerato's ex-boyfriend and baby daddy, actor Siya Radebe, had apologised for not being the best boyfriend to her during their long-term relationship.

Lerato and Siya share two kids together.
