After a life-long threatening battle with the coronavirus, Opal Neal of Milwaukee has been discharged from the hospital to be with her family.
Opal Neal, 88, was finally allowed to see her family on Sunday, 26 April after a two-week-long battle with the coronavirus.
Briefly.co.za learnt that her family said they believe Neal contracted Covid-19 at a facility where she was previously living.
They got to see her in person after she gained strength at the rehabilitation facility.

Opal Neal’s family was so excited to see their matriarch for the first time in weeks.
A family member, only identified as Spears told fox6now.com that Neal ‘‘went through stages of declining, and on a ventilator, and having problems with her kidneys".
The family prayed in all kinds of places amid her ill health and thankfully she whooped the mess out of coronavirus.
Neal was transported from the hospital by Bell Ambulance and sang along as she listened to the harmonising voices of her family who tried to keep their distance as she was being moved.
Opal Neal, who turned 89 on April 28 is in good spirits, talking and walking again.
